Zeldasages.com in order to run smoothly requires the agreement of this TOS at all registrations of members, staff, and posting of news comments. By reading content on the message board and news article comments you also agree to the acceptance of these terms.



Registration
In order to be eligible to register for zeldasages.com you must be of at least the age of 13 years old. If you are found to be under the age of 13 your account will be suspended for one week, then deleted. We do not have the resources to comply with the COPPA procedures for allowing under 13 registration at this time and as such must deny under 13 registration until further notice. If you have falsely claimed to be under the age of thirteen you may contact us within the one week period. We ask that you must submit a scanned copy of a government issued ID such as your drivers license, school record, or a school ID with your birth date somewhere on the ID. You may censer all information on these IDs with the exception of your birth date. If these resources are not available and you are under the age of 18, a scanned letter from your parent or legal guardian will also be accepted. Registrations will not be deleted for any other reason unless a good reason can be presented to the webmaster for such action.


Message Board (forum) Chatroom, and News Comment Content
You understand and agree, including visitors without an account, that all messages posted on the Zeldasages.com Forums and member contributed comments are the sole property and opinion of the author. In no way is Zeldasages.com responsible for what members post. Although the Zeldasages.com moderation team will try to limit discrete content from appearing you agree to be prepared to view such content in the forums, chat, and any user run function. Zeldasages.com also includes a moderated chatroom. This chatroom is only visible to registered members of zeldasages.com. The same rule applies to messages seen in chat. All messages received in the chatroom without a moderator present should be forwarded to the webmaster for transcript review.

Zelda Sages Material
By registering for Zelda Sages you agree not to transfer, reproduce, or otherwise market any content owned by Zelda Sages or contributing members. Doing so would be an act of plagiarism and if found will be dealt with severely. Only registered members of Zelda Sages have the proper authentication to download specific files. Any member found transfering these files via the web will loose their download privledges or become suspended from all community activity, or both. Members submiting fan made work may request alteration or removal of their work at any time if they see it as needed.

Behavior
While registered at Zeldasages.com you will be expected to follow a strict code of conduct when writing any messages posted in some way on Zeldasages.com. Leniency exists in the site chatroom and in some regards the forums, although Zeldasages.com holds no tolerance for comments posted on the site news system as they are immediately viewable by the general public, at times without choice. The following are a list of acts considered to be in violation of this TOS:

-Offensive Posting
Any post, thread or message which contains racial, sexual, insulting, or otherwise deemed unsuitable content.

-Flameing
Sudden fights or outburst which may involve threats.

-Trolling
Coming here for the soul purpose to flame, attack others, or otherwise disrupt the community.

-Spam/ Flooding
Constant pointless posts which cause a disturbance for others or are made for the sole purpose to raise one's member status.

-Pornography/ Hentia
Any post or message which contains obscene, sexual content. This rule break can result in a permanent IP ban and contact of your ISP.

-Impersonation/ Hacking
Any success or attempt to impersonate or hack another account. This includes but is not limited to E-mail fraud, forced access, and impersonating moderators or administrators.

-Censer Bypass
Any attempt to bypass the censers for words considered curse words.

-Harassment
Any type of harassment, stalking, etc of a member

-Bugs
Using site bugs to gain access to certain areas is strictly prohibited.



Violating the TOS
Violation of the Zeldasages.com TOS can result in action taken by moderators or administrators. These people have the right to lock, delete, move, and manipulate you threads and posts at any time. These members may also issue you infractions or infraction warnings which will stay with your account forever unless removed by the infraction appeal procedure described in the forum rules (see below) and every infraction notice private message. When you violate the rules you will accept any consequence that comes your way including banning and contact of your ISP. Zeldasages.com has the right to manipulate or perform any action to your account as wished with the exception of sharing private information. We have no tolerance for comment spamming. Registered members under any means can expect punishment in the issuement of infractions, to contact of your ISP, to banning. All these are outlined in the forum registration agreement.



Other Information
Zeldasages.com has at its right and sole discretion to contact your ISP, ban your account, and any related action if such is needed. You agree to abide by these rules visiting and more so registering for Zeldasages.com. Zeldasages.com and its administrators have a right at their sole discretion to change this TOS at any time without prior notification of any party. Use of Zeldasages.com media and materials that are reserved for registered members only must not be directly linked to. We have security settings initiated that will only allow registered members in good standing access to these files, however finding a loophole can also result in an imediate ban from Zelda Sages, if exploited.

Forum Rules

Registration to Zelda Sages is free! We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below as well as our Terms of Service. If you agree to the terms, please check the 'I agree' checkbox and press the 'Register' button below. If you would like to cancel the registration, click here to return to the forums index.

Please note that you MUST enter a valid E-mail address. If you do not you will not receive the required activation E-mail. Some providers have been known to place us in the spam folder. If you do not receive your E-mail after a few minutes check your spam folder. We DO NOT use your E-mail address for spam of any kind. We hate spam just as much as you do, and as such your E-mail address will never be freely distributed. Also we do not accept spam registrations which is registering only to promote a website or product through your name. If you are registered and do not activate your account within 7 days, your account will be deleted.

Your are allowed only one, and no more then one, account on Zeldasages.com. Your account can be used to access many members only content and features on Zelda Sages, and when logged into the forums, post in discussions.. Having more then one account would not only scramble our numbers and our brains, but it will allow you to go under secret identities which you should not be under. If you are found to have multiple accounts *which we can find out very easily* your main account will receive twelve points on your infraction record and banned from the forum for the dependent amount of time based on past discipline procedures.

We also have a rule against under thirteen registration. It's not our rule, it's the darn government. There is this great law instituted in 1997 called the COPPA *Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1997*. Behind all the boring legal text it states that children under the age of thirteen can not register without parental permission. So, if you lied with your date of birth please go back and change it now. If you lied about your birthday it will be YOU who broke the law, not us. If you are found to have registered under the age of thirteen without parental consent which is fairly easy to do, just following a few simple instructions, your account will be deleted and your IP and...well you will be perma banned

What's this, behave? Why of course you need to behave here. What does this mean exactly? Well, you are not permitted to:

1. Cuss in excess *you can cuss aka curse a bit, but nothing in excess or the F-Bomb, staff will decide appropriate usage
2. Taunt, tease, harass another member or staff member *seriously now*
3. Spam, if you spam we will not hesitate to kill you *well, maybe not kill you*
4. Flame, fight, in other words acting like a three year old is not an option
5. Post pornography, or anything sexually explicate *here's a no brainier, the quickest way to be perma banned too*
6. Advertise, don't do it, or we'll hate you forever
7. Using massive amounts of netspeak *it can just be annoying after a while*
8. Evade a ban *do we really have to say that*
9. Hack or use exploits, just don't do it
10. Make three word posts or simple smile posts, these are spam and clutter our disk space
11. Not use common sense, in other words, use common sense when posting *this is the list of dispermited after all ;)*

 

If you fail to follow the rules you will receive points on your infraction record. This is your personal discipline file here at Zeldasages.com which can be viewed only by you and members of the moderation team on your profile page. Any member of the moderation team can issue you an infraction from a list of rules broken. Depending on which rule(s) you have broken, you will receive a certain number of points added to your record. Also depending on the rule you break, these points can expire after a certain period of time. If you break multiple rules moderators have the option to create a custom infraction in which the point value will be determined by adding together the points you would receive for each break and the expiration by adding all possible months together. If one of the rules you have broken has no expiration or the expiration goes over 6 months, your points will never expire. If you acquire twelve (12) points in your infraction history, you will be banned for a minimum of one month. After the one month ban you may contact the administration to review your account for restoration. Do note that a member of the moderation team can ban your account at any time for a set period of time depending on the violation. In these cases your account will be automatically restored.
