Yup, that bit of downtime was my fault. I set the domain name for Zelda Sages to renew automatically, however I forgot I changed credit cards. So, some of you may have noticed that lovely "this domain has been parked by Act Now Domains" page, sent me E-Mails, etc. Rest assured, we have not died . Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Yes, it's been a while since our last update. Mainly, I've been in the UK for some time and there has been scarce news about anything Zellda over the last few months. So, what am I reporting on today? Well, I've upgraded the forums. That's right! There's such a scarce amount of news that I'm reporting how I spent and hour and a half upgrading the site forums. Needless to say though it is a very nice upgrade which gives all of our registered members a good number of new and exciting features to play with. Of course, other than that, there's not much to report. I felt the need to throw this up so the internet did not begin to think we no longer existed or something like that. . While I'm at it, send in mailbag questions! Had to throw that in ;).

Well, from tomorrow morning (Friday the 11th) until the night of Sunday the 13th Dan (Versac) will be in charge of Zelda Sages. I'll be going on a weekend competition trip to Washington D.C. and may not have access to a computer to properly monitor and work on Zelda Sages. All site correspondences during this time should be sent to Dan not me; I won't be there to answer them .
Almost all areas of Zelda Sages will continue to run as per normal as all staff members have the ability to put up news stories, approve fan work, etc. The only non-functioning area of Zelda Sages during this time will be affiliation requests as these requests are not stored in the Zelda Sages database and are E-Mailed directly to me. Link directory request will still function as per normal as these are stored in the database and controlled by our CMS.
Have fun for a few days without me .

Well, we generally do not endorse non-Zelda games unless they are Nintendo produced or are outstandingly popular, however today we hold an exception. I'm not certain how many of you are familiar with the game Okami, although I'm certain you will become far more familiar with it over the course of this short news post. Okami was originally a PS2 exclusive which essentially runs on the same game style that The Legend of Zelda does. Not too long ago Okami took the first place position in IGN's Game of the Year awards, Twilight Princess coming in a rather close second. However, Okami greatly underperformed in sales selling, to date, only around 270,000 units worldwide since its September 2006 release. This was obviously not an indication of a bad game, it just came out at the wrong time *right on the heals of the PS3* and to the wrong crowd of gamers.
So, after a great deal of petitioning and such, Capcom agreed to publish Okami for the Wii. If you have a bit of time you can read IGN's article on their remarkable struggle to get everything transferred over. Okami will be released on April 15th here in the US for the low price of $40 *the same price as a Nintendo DS game*. So, why am I throwing this up? Well, despite what a few people that have E-Mailed me believe, Zelda fans enjoy more titles than those from the Legend of Zelda library, and Okami has a very similar game style to that of Zelda *and hence, should enjoy it*. Above all else though Capcom needs this game to sell. Large sales number will encourage further support from Capcom in the hard-core department *despite how the game looks, I think it's pretty obvious from the whole plays like a Zelda game comparison it's a hard core game* as well as the creativity aspects of their games. So, do yourselves a favor and don't act as a scrooge to society on April 15th and pick up a copy, I know I will .

Yup, I've been working on the Minish Cap section recently. Why? Well, we have virtually nothing in there. Not anymore, ahahaha! I just wrote up a review for the Minish Cap which you can read here if you'd like. I'll be working on other areas of the Minish Cap section as well over the next few weeks. Anyway, for those of you that celerate it, have a Happy Easter.

Yes! We've posted a brand new Mailbag! Be sure to check out the new edition in the Mailbag section, and be certain to send in your questions for next month. Without questions, we have no mailbag.
For a few additional notes, I've upgraded the site CMS. You won't notice too much of a difference aside from forms now having a VVC field and a few things here and there, although our administrative end has been greatly improved. For example, we can now actually insert Quicktime movies and things of the sort without breaking the structure of the website! We're considering moving our downloadable final battle films into web format, although this is only a consideration and will come up as an agenda point at the next staff meeting. Aside from that though, if you notice any bugs or things of the sort please report them in the Tech Support area of the forums. On one final note, we have a new affiliate, Zelda Dungeon! Zelda Dungeon is one of the oldest Legend of Zelda sites around and we are truly proud to be affiliated with them. Be sure to check them out!
