IGN has recently posted a series of opinions from other editors on the IGN staff. There's some really great stuff in here, and, from all except one member of staff, the opinion is pretty darn great for Skyward Sword. Be sure to stop in and take a look at their article.

I know you're all playing Skyward Sword at the present, but please be sure to vote for Skyward Sword for the G4TV 2011 Game of the Year. Right now, it's in a pretty heated batle with Batman, which is going to be pretty difficult to overcome. Let's do all we can to give Skyward Sword a chance to come out on top.

New Staff Member & Continue Voting

Today I'd like to announces that Anna (Princess) has joined the Zelda Sages staff as a writer! She is one of a few people that we will be taking on board in the next few weeks as we prepare to launch the new, much mproved, Zelda Sages experience. Anna's first job will be putting together guides for Skyward Sword. She, like the rest of you, is likely pretty involved in Skyward Sword at the moment, but any words of encouragement you could give her would be fantastic.
Also, fantastic news, Skyward Sword beat out Uncharted 3 in Round 1 of G4TV's 2011 Reader Game of the Year vote! Great work to everyone who voted. Now, round two is open, so be sure to get in and vote for Skyward Sword. Not much to worry about this time (SS leading 80% to 20% at the time of this posting), but get out there and vote nonetheless. Also, remember that you can continue to vote once a day in the Spike TV awards for Skyward Sword.
Linkman - November 23, 2011 Welcome Anna! Best of luck on the staff! Everyone here is really nice, but there's been some lag with staffers recently (and the community). Here's to hoping you tun that around!
Oh, and a sports game beating out SS? I doubt it. Gonna vote anyway though. I'm surprised the game even has 20% (probably angry UC3 fans).

Skyward Sword Released in the US

Today marks the release of The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword in the North America! For those of you in North America, be sure to pick up the game, play it, and enjoy it! Me, I'm going to be looking at a terrible picture of the delivered game sitting on my desk at home for the next month while I'm still away for study in the United Kingdom. Look for more coverage on Skyward Sword in the coming weeks, including a walkthrough, our full impressions, and other fun tidbits. Also, still to look forward to, the site makeover (coming sooner than you think). We're just putting together the last bits of our new site skin and working on a new forum skin. Don't worry, the wait will be worth it, and you'll all be pleasantly surprised with the results. Enough about that though, get out of here and play Skyward Sword!
Dakare - November 22, 2011 Got it. 1000x better than TP, imo.

Kotaku Review is Up!

Gaming website Kotaku just posted their review of The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword! For those of you familiar with their reviews, they don't assign scores. Instead, they describe the game as is, and will give an editor's choice to a game that is particularly praiseworthy (Skyward Sword received such a distinction). Be sure to check out the review!

Aonuma and Kondo Say "Thank you!"

Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma and composer Koji Kondo give special thanks to Zelda fans across the globe for supporting Link, Zelda, and their adventures over the last 25 years. Take a look! Also, of course, Skyward Sword is available for purchase today in Europe, and along without the pure irony that I'm living in the UK right now and yet I can't get the game because I don't have a PAL region Wii :(. Nonetheless, enjoy the video!
