Classical

Popular music nowadays really signifies the degeneration of all that is music and culture in the world.

Who do you think is better? Gershwin or Bernstein?

Do you think the second movement of Ravel's String Quartet in F major is better than the third?

Any input? Lets get a great discussion going here guys :)

I kind of disagree with you. Even though todays music (with exceptions) is not as good as the classical, it shows that the arts, just like everything else in the world, have evolved through time in order to survive and adapt to the culture of the human race which is ever changing.

That being said, I do like classical music, especially Tchaikovsky's nutcracker suite, Mercury Rising (actually not sure if thats classical, but its still cool) and Mozart's Fsuite symphony which my school's band played at the spring concert.

I really like the tempo changes in the third movement better...though the dynamics in the 2nd movement blow me away. It's so hard to choose....:(

I personally have only heard one Gershwin song and probably Berstein but dont remember... Havent heard of the other thing either... But classical is by far a very good "genre".. I mean Punk rock holds no candle to Purcell, or some dead Italian composers... I enjoy singing Italian classical.. I have a recital on the 15th?
