I've posted this in the general chat area being the extreme surprise I received from this news.
Bungie, as of yesterday, is no longer a subsidiary of Microsoft. Bungie has broken off back to its stand-alone developer roots now using the name Bungie LLC. According to Microsoft and Bungie representatives, they will continue to send the majority of their support to Microsoft platforms, however they seek to expand their presence in the gaming market.
