Good. Reading from the play book of the president who got us through the Great Depression is probably a decent idea. So far I'm quite satisfied with his policy measures taken so far, but the run of un-vettable cabinet appointees has me disappointed if not worried.Okay so he changed the wording. Face it. He even is copying the whole thing that FDR did and addressing the people as a whole periodically on youtube so that we feel like he's doing something.
Ya, if you have noticed, he is following the failed plans from bush, the economy is gettting worse everyday, and now he is trying to tax small businesses and privately owned bussiness and he is trying to nationalize them along with banks.... he is killing capatalism and he is driving us to socialism
No, he's using different plans, and he's been making it painfully obvious to the public. Although both do have one thing in common thus far, neither have worked / are working (as of yet of course). Nothing about taxes... YET. He considered buying stock from ONE bank. Chill out and get your facts straight. Seriously.Ya, if you have noticed, he is following the failed plans from bush, the economy is getting worse everyday, and now he is trying to tax small businesses and privately owned business and he is trying to nationalize them along with banks.... he is killing capitalism and he is driving us to socialism
If that were true, he wouldn't even be on these forums. Also why must you add "like" to typing? It's painful enough as a stupid filler word in verbalized spoken language. You're like 12 aren't you?
Not quite. A little more around 12 years sounds about right.Capt. Zeroth said:The economy thing isn't going to be fixed in 50 days. It took almost 3 years for the Great Depression to begin to recover.
Socialism is a taboo word in America due to past experiences with socialism such as the old Soviet Union, which portrays socialism in an extremely poor light in America. That's why. Extreme liberalism in the economic part of the spectrum is considered socialist, and Obama is very, very liberal which is why there is any concern from people at all. Despite most people seeing it, and not even knowing what it is, and then flipping out because they're a fool and they think Obama is causing the end of America and freedom everywhere. Of course that's not true in the least, but welcome to ignorance. As for socialism versus capitalism, I'm really not in the mood to start a debate on that subject, but America has flourished wonderfully under capitalism in the past, and a change to socialism could either improve or diminish American economic importance, and people are more worried about the latter possibility, especially since it is a viable belief, for those who actually know something about the American economy and capitalism as well as socialism. And to answer the other question, yes, I do believe people would let that happen. Everything right now is controlled (except the Supreme Court) by far-left politicians, which means it would be much easier to garner just enough support for whatever agenda they want.Capt. And even if it did, why would it matter if our country turned out stronger?
